Title: Administrative Assistant/Data Entry


Location: Brooklyn, NY (remote work possible)Status: Part-Time, 10-15 hours/weekDuration: 6 month renewable contract


UFCT Local 1460, the union for Pratt faculty, is seeking an administrative assistant to join the team. Formed in the early 1970s, UFCT 1460 is one of the oldest private-sector higher education unions in the country. We are seeking to hire an administrative assistant, whose duties will include data entry and maintenance, to help support the local’s organizing and contract enforcement efforts.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and update the membership lists

  • Create member lists for delegates

  • Assist in preparation of reports and other documents

  • Monitor and forward union email

  • Other administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience

  • Experience creating and maintaining digital workflows for multi-step processes

  • Experience handling sensitive data 

  • Experience working with a team of people

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with higher education employment

  • Experience with labor organizing

  • Advanced Excel skills

Terms of employment: 6 mo. renewable contract. $30.00 hourly rate.
