Hillary, Obama and Healthcare

Global News

This article claims that NONE of the health insurance plans offered by the top 3 candidates for the Democratic nomination for president will work, because none of them do anything to control costs (and, if anything, increase the cost). The conclusion of the author of the report is that a the only way to achieve universal-coverage is through a single-payer plan, like that offered by (as Katrina Vanden Heuvel of The Nation notes) Congressman and candidate Dennis Kucinich. Even if one of the top three candidates wins the presidency, Americans will have to keep the pressure on them to achieve universal, affordable coverage.
