General Membership Meeting Recap

Our last General Membership Meeting (GMM) for the Spring semester 2026 was held on April 27th. It focused on preliminary contract preparations for 2027. As President Emily Beall noted, widespread member participation is essential to winning a strong contract in 2027!! 



Attendees split into four breakout rooms to discuss issues of importance to them for the next bargaining negotiation. We will be using this input to build a bargaining-priorities survey which will go out to all members in Fall 2026, so stay tuned!

We also heard a Financial Report from Union Treasurer Daniel Wright, in which he discussed UFCT 1460’s current financial health, and our plans for the future, focusing especially on fiscal responsibility and newly implemented transparency policies and practices.
