General Membership Meeting 4/10 500-615pm

Dear UFCT 1460 Member,

General Membership Meeting

Please join us at a General Membership Meeting on April 10 from 5-6:15pm.

As specified in our bylaws, the General Membership Meeting will follow Robert's Rules of Order. The President will chair the meeting, which will include reports from officers and recent proposals passed by the Executive Committee. At the meeting, we’ll ask members to affirm or not affirm these proposals. These will not be "legal" votes given the unlikelihood of achieving quorum per Robert's Rules but symbolic ones.

Seven days before the meeting, members will receive an updated copy of the proposed motions to be taken up at the meeting as well as copies of the officer reports so that members can come prepared with questions.

Any member can submit a proposed motion provided that (a) it is received at least 7 days prior to the meeting and (b) it does not violate UFCT 1460 bylaws. If you wish to submit a proposed motion, please email ufct1460@gmail.com no later than April 2nd with your motion.

All members are welcome. Please use this link to register.

New Union Member Orientation

Are you new to the Union? Have questions? Come to a new member orientation!

The New Union Member Orientation will be April 3rd from 5:15-6:15, on Zoom. You can register here.

Hosted by members of the Executive Committee, the orientation is an opportunity for new members to hear from some of our Delegates, meet other union members, learn more about how our union works & how what we do on our campus is part of a larger higher ed labor movement, and learn how you can become more active in your Union.

If you plan to attend, please take a moment to fill out this short google form so that we can shape the orientation to your questions & interests.

In Solidarity,

The UFCT 1460 Executive Committee

Jamie, Emily, Velina and Robert
