Dear UFCT Members:
It is hard to believe that this semester’s end is upon us!
Seems like yesterday that we started the semester w/a bang; sixty UFCT members in attendance for a highly successful ARPT Forum, and on the heels of a newly ratified Contract!
Naively I thought we would be able to savor such successes… but, to quote John Lennon: “Life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans.”
…
In any event, I had initially planned on having at least two ‘General Membership’ Meetings this semester only to become side-tracked; so, I have at least scheduled one which will take place on: Thursday, December 13th, 5:00-7:00, Alumni Reading Room (3rd floor Library). This will be an open-forum for any and all unions members (non-members cannot attend). I will speak openly about the CCE and Adjunct faculty step III grievance, as well as report on what was a six-months in the making ARPT mediation between the Pratt Administration and UFCT which will have been transpired the week prior.
Please make every attempt to attend this GMM as well as partake in the ‘happy hour(s)’ that will immediately follow (off campus)!
Lastly, for anyone who is interested, I have been invited to special 12/11 Senate meeting where I will be discussing the new clause to our Contract about curriculum development and review.
Hope to see you on 12/13!!
In Solidarity!!
-Kye
