implies a function of the union that I think belongs more properly to the faculty and the administration. I believe that the Union only indirectly helps in improving education by making working conditions for the faculty better. Thus allowing them to concentrate their energies on the  education of our students. It  helps Pratt  attract high quality people and It also helps with the clauses that see to it that there are enough full time faculty to help in the developement of programs. But in the main these are things that are best done by  the faculty and administration.
